Stage 2 sloppy mechanics...
The lifters are so loud they sound worse than the stock ones I took out I don’t recommend and u cannot get a call from anyone i called for 3 weeks every day never got a call back or anything I wouldn't use these parts to rebuild a lawn mower pure junk and the worst customer service I've ever delt with and the solution is no call back I do not recommend and if ur smart you will find somewhere else.to buy ur parts and the cam doesn’t even do its jobs i bought this thinking it was going to chop but no i want my money back or a set of good lifters and a better cam that actually works and chops

Sloppy stage 2 LS...
Swapping a 5.3 LS into my 72 chevy pickup. everything that came with the kit went in no problem at all, very good directions for lifter install, Only thing is i wish it came with some sort of directions in the gasket kit, my kit came with 4 different size o rings and i have no idea where they go. Hoping it’s for one of the other engines because that this kit works for. I’ll visit this again once i get my truck running in a few weeks

This is not a sloppy stage 2 cam. The cam that came with mine is a stock spec cam. Do not buy this kit

Honestly wouldn’t call this company far from a scam. No way to cancel your order or return and even if you find a way to return it you end up paying a 30% restock fee…. Just spend the money and get a quality cam/parts from a reputable website.

Lifters won’t pump...
I will start by saying the camshaft, springs, and gasket kit seemed to be of good quality. On the other hand the lifter won’t pump up and hold pressure. I soaked them in mineral spirits to clean them and then soaked them in oil over night. Pushing them by hand they seemed as if they were pumped up so I installed them and followed instructions provided. Ticking on start up and I gave it time running to see if it would work itself out. I ran it at 2500rpm for 4-5 minutes like instructions said. Now I have to disassemble and start all over basically. But I guess you get what you pay for…

Faulty valve spring!!
The shipping from Mad Hornets was prompt and the camshaft kit arrived well-packaged. Unfortunately, after installing the cam into my motor, one of the valve springs turned out to be faulty. It broke into three pieces, causing the valve to drop and collide with the piston. As a result, the piston was damaged and a hole was created in the engine block. While I appreciate the fast delivery, this defect led to significant engine damage. I would like to know how I can proceed with either a refund or a replacement cam kit, given the extent of the damage. I hope we can resolve this issue promptly
